Hebrews 12:19-21

¹⁹ and to the sound of a trumpet and to a voice speaking words, such that those who heard them begged that the word not be spoken to them anymore. ²⁰ For they could not endure that which was commanded: “If so much as a beast touches the mountain, it must be stoned or thrust through with a spear.”^{[a] 21} So terrible was the sight that Moses said, “I am terrified and trembling.”^[b]
